Meet Samantha, Leonie, Jaclyn, Erin, and Kaitlyn

Samantha Underwood- Programmatic Coordinator

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up just outside Seattle, and while I have a deep fondness for the rain, I decided to follow the sunshine down to Los Angeles to attend UCLA for my undergrad. During this time, I immersed myself in the sciences, education, and non-profit work (with a brief stint in the music industry). By my senior year, I ended up putting my scientific ambitions on pause to devote myself to the creative applications of data in the world of advertising.

Explain your job to a first grader.

I tell stories with numbers.

How do you do your job differently?

I find myself frequently calling on my background in the sciences to help me read between the lines of data to find the untold stories. I’ve always felt a responsibility to tell stories with data in an honest way, so I was immediately drawn to Jun Group’s ethos of truth and transparency.

What are you most passionate about?

I’ve never been one to be quiet about my (quirky) passions. I am a book-collecting, cheesehead-wearing, lightsaber-wielding, donkey-loving, science and communication nerd.

Leonie Vits- Senior Strategist and Designer

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I’m originally from Belgium but studied in Spain and The Netherlands during college. In 2017 I graduated from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and moved to New York to pursue a career in marketing. I worked as a Digital Marketer and Brand Manager in the consumer goods industry for 3 years, until I decided to take a break from work to study graphic design at Shillington. Now I’m a strategist & designer at Jun Group, combining my background in marketing strategy with my creative skills.

I help companies share their message with people by turning it into an ad and making it appear on mobile devices.

How do you do your job differently?

I approach each project from a brand perspective, exploring innovative strategies and creative ideas that are true to a brand’s mission and style.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about art and design. I love making things so I’m always busy drawing, painting or designing something on my computer.

Jaclyn Schultz- Account Coordinator

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up in Huntington, on Long Island about 40 miles outside of NYC. I graduated from the University of Delaware last spring with a Bachelor of Science in Marketing. While at UD, I had the opportunity to assist Newark businesses in creating and/or increasing their brand awareness for new customers through Facebook and Instagram ads.

Explain your job to a first grader.

I assist with analyzing and preparing reports, outlining how well an ad performs for our clients.

How do you do your job differently?

I am always trying to improve my listening skills. The key to performing in any job is to understand what the needs and/or wants are for my work product, whether the client is inside or outside of the organization.

What are you most passionate about?

My passion is traveling! I’ve always enjoyed learning and experiencing new cultures, people, art, food, and activities in the country/region that I am visiting. My most memorable trip was a visit to Interlaken, Switzerland where I paraglided in the Alps.

Erin Seong- Product Manager

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

As a junior in college scrambling to secure a summer internship position in consulting, I was offered an analyst position at Capital One which my friends described as a consulting role for internal teams. Little did I know that I’d be joining a tech team working as a product owner and that I’d be captivated by the intersection of tech and business. Ever since that summer, I’ve pivoted my career to the product world, most recently having worked as a tech consultant building products for Fortune 500 clients prior to joining Jun Group.

Explain your job to a first grader.

I listen to your needs and wants and help bring them to life.

How do you do your job differently?

One big advantage of being on the product team is the need to collaborate with various stakeholders across different teams. The breadth of interactions provides a huge learning opportunity and I always try to treat every task as an opportunity to grow.

What are you most passionate about?

I always appreciate the creative moments I could use to distract myself from working on my econometrics problem sets or client proposal decks. Baking, watching musicals, taking photos, building legos, and painting are all activities I enjoy to refresh my mood.

Kaitlyn O’Grady- Influencer Marketing Coordinator

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up in Detroit, MI and graduated from Indiana University in Indianapolis in 2020 with degrees in Marketing and International Business. After graduation, I joined Jun Group and made the move to NYC! Three things I love: thrifting, live music, and theater.

Explain your job to a first grader.

Brands come to us with campaigns, we find social media influencers to work on them, and then we monitor the content creation process.

How do you do your job differently?

I am all about learning. I ask questions when I don’t understand and am always eager to learn more and jump on new projects. I think that is the only way to grow as an employee and individual.

What are you most passionate about?

I’ll be a part of the cliche and say that I am most passionate about traveling. But beyond exploring new cities and countries, my favorite part of traveling is immersing myself in another culture. I love to try new foods, interact with locals, and wander the streets for hours. Throughout college I was fortunate enough to visit over 20 countries and I can’t wait to grow that list even more in the future!
