Meet Alyssa, Alexander, Morgan and Meysam

Alyssa Mutarelli– Account manager

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up in Westchester, NY but moved to Stamford, CT in 2017 and have been here ever since. I went to school at the University of Connecticut where I studied communications, really without any clue of what I wanted to do after graduating in 2014. I fell into the world of media after I got my first role as a temp at an agency that specializes in media buying for broadcast TV. I started to realize the industry was swiftly moving towards digital marketing and away from TV, which is how I ended up working in digital media.

I help our clients make sure their advertisements are seen by lots of people online and make sure those people are interacting with the ads. If they aren’t, I try to figure out ways to reach different people!

How do you do your job differently?

I really lean into processes. I make sure I understand how things are done inside and out but I also like to look for opportunities to make the process more efficient. I always think there is room for improvement and that helps myself and my team work smarter in the long run.

What are you most passionate about?

It might sound cliche, but I’m most passionate about my family. I also love cooking and baking, which comes from growing up eating insanely good Italian food and having a very large sweet tooth!

Alexander Ortega- Technical Support Engineer

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I was born and raised in Boston, MA. I have 3 siblings and we’re all best friends. I love sports and played lacrosse in college. I studied computer science and had the opportunity to experience two great internships when I was in school. After I graduated, I gained sales experience but I always knew I would end up back in tech. That’s what brought me to Jun Group!

Explain your job to a first grader.

My job is to help people find out why things aren’t working for them on the computer, and then I try to find a solution to their problem.

How do you do your job differently?

I try to learn something new every day. Technology is a vast field so continuous learning is important to me.

What are you most passionate about?

I’m passionate about a lot of things: my family, food, dogs, sports, video games, travel, the list goes on. If I had to choose one, it would be family. I wouldn’t be where I am without their support.

Morgan Cadigan– Strategist and Designer

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up in the Seattle area. While attending UCLA as an art history major, I founded an arts & culture magazine called The Paper Mixtape. The magazine became a community project (it continues to be a student-led publication on campus today) and entrepreneurial venture. Interested in learning more about business operations after college, I began working in management consulting and investment banking services where I supported transactions in a wide range of industries. Now I’m here at Jun Group, ready to return to my creative roots while pursuing strategy!

I imagine and create fun ads that you see on your family’s computers, tablets, and phones!

How do you do your job differently?

I love finding new things to learn in every project. Lucky for me, the strategists at Jun Group have a variety of skills they use for any given project!

What are you most passionate about?

I’m most passionate about branding! I love how the concept of branding contains so many different aspects: business strategy, visual design, culture, a voice. The harmony of both a company running smoothly, visually presenting itself true to product and values, and connecting with an audience is the secret sauce I hope to learn more about.

Meysam Feghhi- Senior software engineer

What’s your background? Tell me your story.

I grew up in Iran and graduated from the University of Tehran in 2015 with a degree in Software Engineering. Shortly after, I moved to Edmonton, Alberta and started a master’s degree. I graduated in 2017 and started working on a sports-fantasy project for a company based in Calgary. I then moved to Toronto and started working as lead engineer for a property management SAAS startup. I enjoy fishing and playing video games.

Explain your job to a first grader.

I design and make applications that are used as the brain of websites or mobile apps.

How do you do your job differently?

I always try to stay up-to-date and read about the latest discoveries and trends in my field. I find it very helpful to work on fun projects on the side where I can practice new tools and techniques.

What are you most passionate about?

I am most passionate about spending time with friends and family, traveling, and camping. Whether it is an ice-fishing trip somewhere as cold as Lake Simcoe in the middle of December, or a barbecue party on my patio in August; as long as I am with friends, I am happy.
